Monarchs of the Forest
Animals have always inspire my illustrations and designs and I absolutely love these digital paintings by Kelly Stevens. They evoke a fairy-tale world full of kings and queens. It's Alice in Wonderland meets Downton Abbey.

Artist - Rachel Pedder-Smith
While researching botanical art-works for inspiration on a future pattern, I came across Rachel Pedder-Smith's beautiful work. Her botanical watercolors are a perfect marriage of science and art!

The Colors of The Grand Budapest Hotel
Not since Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette (2006), have I
been so mesmerized by the colors of a film.
This time, director Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel, captures
such a diverse color palette, mainly on the scenes celebrating the heyday of
the spa resort during the glamorous 1930s.
Strong colors, yet soft at times, the film delivers an incredible
colorful feast for the eyes.

Mother Nature's Children
I am currently obsessed with
Dutch artist, Rudd van Empel. His
digital collages are intense, full of color and nature beautifully overpowers
the striking images. He works and lives
in Amsterdam. Visit his website to see
more of his magical images.

Peter and the Wolf
Loving the new sketches by Issac Mizrahi for his take on 'Peter and the Wolf,' at the Guggenheim. The story will take place in Central Park, in the modern day. This will be his 7th year narrating the holiday performance, which will debut this coming Saturday.

From Digital Illustration to Watercolor Painting
I was inspired by the huddle created by the male penguins to stay warm and care for their eggs. I added the hexagon in four shades of blue to incorporate color and pattern.
